Day 43: July 22 (Amtrak from Chicago to Winona, MN)
One last train ride about five hours from Chicago to Winona, MN. We arrived around 7:50 pm with grandpa Mike and his big red truck waiting at the depot for the three of us. Our two bike boxes, Burley, the chariot, and three other boxes carrying our pannier bags and food arrived the day before we did, so it was waiting for us in a shed alongside the railroad tracks protected nicely. A little scratch on Nicks bike and a small hole in the chariot rain cover, but other than that all in one piece.
we are here in Rushford, Minnesota where grandpa Mike is. Whistler asking about the tractor mower and wanting to play with it, we told him he had to wait till morning.
He made himself quite comfortable right away...
Feels nice to be here, to be home away from home.

It definitely is a home away from home. Wish I were there with you. I posted one of your pics of Whistler on my FB page and he's getting rave reviews on cuteness, of course. I want more pictures of the two of you too, and grandpa Mike. I still haven't heard about the house. Hugs to all. (100 degrees, huh? Augh!)
