So, after an exciting day watching Bree race another Honu half Ironman (congratulations sis, as always we are proud of you ),Whistler enjoying some boy time playing with his cousin Kainoa and friend Zuma, and lots and lots of sunshine and wind, we made our way home to continue packing.
Since, Whistler was 7 months old he has been learning to ride his balance bike. It only makes sense that the bike will be coming along with us on the trip. By the time we make it to Florida, we think he will be riding down the street all by himself to my parents house. Who knows, maybe he will be riding along beside us on the trails...

My mind is still here in Kona thinking about the last couple classes I have to teach this week to a great group of people I enjoy practicing yoga with and the spin group that keeps me spinning weekly and the bit of packing that is still left inside our home that will no longer be our home once we leave.
I see the light in Nick's eyes as he chit chats with Whistler about biking and all the parks we are going to visit. He has this way of not needing to say a whole lot about things, but yet has such passion for life with our son.
I was watching him pack up Whistler's balance bike earlier and laughing because it was by far the smallest bike he has ever had to pack up and quite possibly the easiest bike to box up. He too got a kick out of it!
Little by little things are getting done in hopes of making the next few days a little less stressful.
I think with the team work we put into it we will get it done or should I say we have to have it done before we leave.
Tomorrow will be a busy day for Nick and the crew at Bike Works as the athletes rush to get the bikes to the shop to be shipped out and Whistler and I will be at home finishing some packing and making a trip or two to storage. Whistler is my little buddy and my biggest helper (at times!!)
Five days, oh my goodness....Five days....I like the sound of that....
